  • $5,000 deductible reduces premium by 35%
Age Restrictions: Coverage is available to age 85.
Changes Prior to Effected Date:
  • Dates can be changed up until Effective Date
  • Policies can be cancelled up until Effective Date
  • No change or cancellation fees
Refunds for Returning Early:
  • Subject to no claims being made against your policy
  • Must supply MQIB with Proof of Return
  • Subject to an Administration Fee
Extensions after effective date:
  • Subject answering no the 3 questions below
    • Have you had any claims, or do you plan to submit a claim against your policy?
    • Have you had any changes to your health or medication since departing?

Benefit Details
Emergency Medical Coverage: Emergency Medical Coverage for accidents, injury or sickness – Includes ambulance transportation costs, hospital accommodation and care, out patient treatment, diagnostic testing, physician and nursing services, surgery, medical supplies, equipment and medication up to maximum sum insured.
Pre-Existing Medical Conditions: Coverage for pre-existing conditions is available if your condition meets the following criteria:

  • Plan A – No Coverage for Pre-Existing Medical Conditions that have been treated for 180 days prior Effective date
  • Plan B – Coverage for Pre-Existing Medical Conditions that have been Stable for 180 days prior Effective date
Paramedical services:: Expenses for the use of Chiropodist, podiatrist, physiotherapist(when ordered by a the attending physician), chiropractor, or osteopath and acupuncturist up to $70 per visit to a maximum of $700.
Accidental Dental Coverage: Expenses for the repair or replacement of natural teeth or permanently attached artificial teeth necessitated by an accidental blow to the mouth, to a maximum of $4,000 per person and up to $300 for the relief of Dental pain.
Repatriation of Remains: If you should pass away while in Canada, the expenses for either the preparation and transportation of your remains to a maximum of $3,000 per person, or the expense of cremation or burial at the place of death, to a maximum of $3,000

Any policy purchased after arrival, waiting periods apply where no benefits will be paid for expenses incurred.
