Q: Does the cost of COVID coverage change based on the destination country? What about US states?

A: In some plans, the price will not change based on the destination. Some COVID plans will cost more or less depending on your destination country or US state.

Q: How does it work when travelling to multiple destinations in a single trip?

A: For the companies that fluctuate the cost of coverage based on the destination, they will determine the price based on where you spend 80% of your time, and some plans say if you spend any time in the US at all, you need to pay the US price. If you are not travelling to the US, you can pay a lower non-US price.

Q: What happens if you change your destination after departure?

A: You should call us to let us know so we can update your policy where required.

Q: If conditions change at your destination after I purchase the policy, how does that affect the policy?

A: It wouldn’t affect your policy. Once you purchase your insurance, the price and coverage are locked-in, and cannot be changed.

Q: Can we ship our car and then drive it back without any issues at the border?

A: It is best to check with the Government of Canada page for entry, borders and transit for what to expect upon re-entry to Canada. Canadian citizens and permanent residents are among the groups that are allowed to cross the border into Canada.
