We are as excited to get back to travelling as you are. It’s seemed like eternity since we were able to think about where we would like to go and all the exciting things that we remember about jetting off or travelling south to our southern homes.
We’ve waited a long time, but we finally have options to cover our clients that include optional COVID coverage for the retired traveller, as well as the snowbird travellers. We wanted to come out with quality products that we knew our clients would be looking for, and not second best. Our team has learned a lot during this pandemic. It’s definitely nowhere near business as usual! We’ve learned how to do all the things we do, but do it differently due to the different circumstances during the Pandemic. Before March 13, 2020, we couldn’t fathom the Canadian government would ever advise all Canadians not to travel anywhere. But here we are…Six months into it! As we have done for more than 25 years, we wanted to offer coverage to our clients that would include coverage for COVID. That took a while to figure out.
We’ve had to go to new companies and renegotiate with our current companies. But we are finally there, and we are ready to offer this updated coverage to our clients. There will be opportunity for Snowbirds and other winter travellers to head down to their homes in the sunny south this winter. We appreciate all of our clients who emailed and called wanting to make sure we knew that they were waiting for our offer before they bought any insurance. We thought it was not the year to offer an early bird sale. Everything is too uncertain to force any travellers to make decisions on travelling too far in advance and risk their rates going up. Everyone is taking a wait and see approach, and we are in total agreement with that.
