  • Can be set up after departure(subject to a 48 hour waiting period)

  • Annual Medical and eye Examinations

  • Supreme plan does have the following additional benefits:

    • Up to $3,000 for Tuition Reimbursement
    • Up to $10,000 for Accidental Death or Dismemberment coverage
    • Up to $20,000 for Maternity benefits
    • Both inpatient and outpatient Psychiatric/Psychological benefits

  • The $0 deductible is the only option
Coverage Options:
  • Standard- The Pre-existing medical condition stability period is 90 days prior to effective date
  • Supreme – The Pre-existing medical condition stability period is 45 days prior to effective date
Rate Information:
  • Rates based on age at booking.
  • $25 minimum policy fee.
Changes Prior to Effected Date:
  • Dates can be changed up until Effective Date
  • Policies can be cancelled up until Effective Date
  • No change or cancellation fees
Refunds for Returning Early:
  • Subject to no claims being made against your policy
  • Subject to a Administration Fee
  • Must supply MQIB with Proof of Return

Benefit Details
Overall Maximum:
  • Up to $2 Million
Emergency Medical Coverage:
  • For accidents, injury or sickness – coverage Includes ambulance transportation, hospital accommodation and care, diagnostic testing, physician and nursing services, surgery, medical supplies, equipment and medication
Pre-Existing Medical Conditions:
  • Covered if your condition meets the “stable and controlled” requirements of the plan you qualify under for all of those benefits
Emergency Return Home:
  • If your treating physician(s) insurance company’s medical advisor(s) recommends that you return home because/after of your emergency
Repatriation of Remains:
  • $25,000 for the preparation and return of you remains if you should pass away while you are away.
  • $5,000 to have the remains cremated and returned if you should pass away while you are away.
  • $5,000 for burial at place of death if you should pass away while you are away.
Return of Companion:
  • If your are returned via emergency return home or repatriation benefit, we will return your travel companion if they are insured under the same company
Accidental Dental Coverage:
  • Up to $2,500 if you suffer an accidental blow to the mouth
  • Up to $400 if you require relief of dental pain
Pet Return:
  • Up to $250 for return of Pet.
Hospital Allowance
  • If hospitalized reimbursement up to $250 for charges for Television, Parking and Telephone Charges
Automatic Extension:
  • Up to 5 days due delay of Common Carrier or delay caused by accident ot mechanical breakdown
  • If you deemed not medically stable to travel by the Insurance company
  • Due Inclement Weather
Annual Physical Exam:
  • Up to $250 for a routine examination by a physician when a minimum of 12 consecutive months is purchased
  • Annual Eye Exam:
  • For a routine eye examination when a minimum of 12 consecutive months is purchased
  • Tutorial Services:
  • Up to $500(up $20 per hour) for tutorial services if you are hospitalized or confined to your home for 30 or more consecutive school days
  • Tuition Reimbursement(Supreme plan only) :
  • Up to $3,000 for expenses and fees for tuition if you medical forced to withdrawal from school.
  • Psychiatric/Psychological:(Supreme plan only):
  • Psychologist and Psychiatric Care: The treatment of mental, nervous or emotional disorders, including trauma
    Counselling;

    • in-patient hospitalization, up to a lifetime maximum of $12,000;
    • outpatient services, up to a maximum of $1,000 in any 12 consecutive month period of coverage.
  • Maternity (Supreme plan only):
  • Provided the pregnancy begins during the period of coverage, the Company would pay up to $20,000 for
    expenses incurred for pre-natal care, miscarriage, routine new-born nursing care up to 14 days following birth
    or related complications.( New born can be added to the policy after 15 days from birth)
  • One prescription of the “morning after pill”
  • Accidental Death and Dismemberment (Supreme plan only):
  • Up to a maximum of $10,000 for death or dismemberment as a result of an accident during the coverage
    period.
  • Please Note:
    • All benefits must be pre-approved by the insurance company by calling the phone number provided on the confirmation of insurance/Wallet Card provided upon the purchase of the policy.
    • In an emergency and prior to seeking medical assistance it is extremely important that you call the insurance company assistance centre phone number located on your wallet card before seeking treatment, or as soon as you are physically able.
