Options for Coverage Maximum: $25,000 – $50,000 – $100,000 – $150,000
Deductible options: $0, $100, $500 and $1000
Savings from deductible do vary in the percent saved based age and overall maximum insured
Age Restrictions: Offers coverage for clients up to 79 years of age.
Changes Prior to Effected Date:
  • Dates can be changed up until Effective Date
  • Policies can be cancelled up until Effective Date
  • No change or cancellation fees
Refunds for Returning Early:
  • Subject to no claims being made against your policy
  • Refund amount minimum $5 per Policy
  • Must supply MQIB with Proof of Return
  • Subject to a $40 Administration Fee

    • Have you had any claims, or do you plan to submit a claim against your policy?
    • Have you had any changes to your health or medication since departing?

Benefit Details
Emergency Medical Coverage: Emergency Medical Coverage for accidents, injury or sickness – Includes ambulance transportation costs, hospital accommodation and care, out patient treatment, diagnostic testing, physician and nursing services, surgery, medical supplies, equipment and medication up to maximum sum insured.
Pre-Existing Medical Conditions: Coverage for pre-existing conditions is available if your condition meets the “stable and controlled” requirements of the plan (180 days prior to your effective date).
Emergency Return Home: Expenses for the use of an air ambulance or regularly scheduled airline to transport you back to your destination in Canada or your country of origin for further in-hospital treatment.
Accidental Dental Coverage: Expenses for the repair or replacement of natural teeth or permanently attached artificial teeth necessitated by an accidental blow to the mouth, to a maximum of $2,000 per person and up to $250 for the relief of Dental pain.
Repatriation of Remains: If you should pass away while in Canada, the expenses for either the preparation and transportation of your remains to a maximum of $3,000 per person, or the expense of cremation or burial at the place of death, to a maximum of $2,000

Any policy purchased after arrival, waiting periods apply where no benefits will be paid for expenses incurred.
