Since 1994, Snowbird Medi-Quote has been providing travel insurance to Canadians as an independent travel insurance brokerage firm.

From humble beginnings, Angie and Ken Deminchuk worked hard to build a reputation of expertise, honesty and integrity. Those values remain an integral part of who we are. We continuously work to improve our customer service, internal processes and technology to ensure our clients have the best travel insurance experience possible from start to finish.

With roots in Calgary, Alberta, we opened a second office in Winnipeg in spring 2008 to improve the quality of service offered to clients in central and eastern Canada.

At Snowbird we promise to:

• Offer you a choice of insurance companies so that you can compare what different companies have to offer, not just the "one size fits all" policy.
• Recommend an insurance company that is reputable and provide you with the personalized service you deserve.
• Work with you to make sure that your current medical conditions are covered under the policy you purchase.
• Read the fine print for you to ensure that you are not surprised should you have the need to use your policy.
• Advocate on your behalf if you have done everything right but are having a problem with a claim.

We are proud to do our part for the environment.

Starting immediately, fewer trees will be lost as SMQ clients can now request to have their confirmations of insurance emailed. We can also send the confirmations by regular mail however, the fewer packages sent by mail, the more trees we save.

From the trends we have been noticing, we are now at a point when clients favor and are comfortable with receiving policy documents electronically via e-mail. All of these documents including policy wordings, confirmations and additional information can be sent to you with a click of a button. Our future service will promise to be more environmentally friendly, easily accessible and quicker to arrive than snail mail.

Your policy information will be sent to you in PDF format so you will be able to print off just those items that you require or would like printed to reference.

Here’s what you’ll need to know:

1. Ensure you are getting our e-mails and announcements sent to your inbox. Our emails might end up in your junk folder if your account automatically filters out addresses for you which you don’t know. You can prevent this by adding us to your safe list.
